We’re excited to welcome Devika Kharkar to our Landscape Architecture team. Bringing a unique perspective grounded in both architecture and landscape principles, Devika excels at integrating the built environment with natural systems. Her interdisciplinary approach will support our work on complex urban projects, helping to create holistic, resilient, and community‑centered design solutions that strengthen connections between people and nature.
Originally from Mumbai, India, Devika earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Pillai University College of Architecture before moving to the United States, where she completed her Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. During her previous internship with SWBR, she contributed to meaningful initiatives, including designing parks that celebrate Rochester’s heritage and therapeutic planting spaces for a youth mental health facility.
