SWBR is proud to announce that our own Gianfranco Pietrantoni, AIA has been named a 2026 Rising Star by Zweig Group. This national distinction honors emerging AEC professionals who pair technical expertise with meaningful servant leadership. Gianfranco is one of only 25 professionals nationwide to receive this recognition, selected from a highly competitive pool of candidates across the United States.
Since joining SWBR as an intern in 2015, Gianfranco has become a trusted presence on complex projects, known for his steady leadership and ability to navigate high-stakes environments. His recent promotion to Senior Associate reflects both his design acumen and his consistent delivery under pressure.
As a Project Manager specializing in research and laboratory environments, Gianfranco brings clarity and confidence to highly technical work. Clients frequently request him by name for his thoughtful communication, calm approach, and ability to coordinate seamlessly across teams and time zones, including international consultants in Germany and the Czech Republic.
He continues to expand his expertise through advanced lab planning work while contributing to firmwide initiatives with practical, grounded insight. Outside the office, Gianfranco applies the same values through community engagement. His work with the Barack and Michelle Obama Teen Empowerment Center included leading inclusive engagement sessions that emphasized dignity and meaningful participation, even within tight budget constraints.
