Dan Glading Honored in Leaders in Construction Awards

Congratulations to Senior Project Architect Dan Glading, AIA on being named one of Rochester Business Journal’s 2023 Leaders in Construction. The annual awards celebrate the individuals and companies who are changing the landscape of the Rochester region through design, construction, project management, and more.

“The 2023 Leaders in Construction are making a significant impact on Rochester and Western New York by creating jobs and transforming ideas into reality,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/Rochester Business Journal. “This year’s winners are making dreams come true for many in a multifaceted field, and we are pleased to honor them for all their accomplishments.”

Dan was recognized in the Architects – Individual category, which honors individuals whose impeccable performance goes above and beyond in the workplace. A talented, thoughtful, and energetic architect, he is an expert in the design of affordable, supportive, and multi-family housing communities. Dan is dedicated to creating dignified homes for people of all incomes and needs that are beautiful, functional, and uplifting. His impressive design portfolio includes several award-winning affordable and supportive housing communities in Rochester and across New York State for clients including DePaul and Rochester Management.

“Dan is genuinely interested in improving the lives of individuals who will ultimately live in the spaces he designs,” said Rochester Management President Peggy. “Whether it is intentionally designing units to easily adapt as seniors age, or incorporating elements which make daily life easier for special needs populations, Dan is thoughtful and intuitive.”

In addition to his design work, Dan volunteers with several organizations. He is a long-time volunteer with the Ugandan Water Project, helping raise funds to support their mission to bring safe drinking water to those without. He has also served as the event director for the organization’s annual 5k fundraiser. He has been a member and volunteer with Artisan Church for 15 years, including guiding the community through two substantial renovations and additions. He currently serves on the board of Brightstar Communities, a local organization that serves women survivors of human trafficking by providing no-cost housing and connections to local counseling, training, and related support services.

The awards ceremony will be held on October 23 at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.
