We’re proud to announce that our own Aly Mancuso has been named a 2026 Rising Star by the Rochester Business Journal through its Leaders in Construction & Real Estate awards program. The honor celebrates emerging professionals distinguished by their achievements, initiative, and contributions to the Rochester region.
Since joining SWBR as an intern in 2019, Aly has grown into an integral member of our Housing team, helping shape affordable, supportive, and senior living developments across New York State. As a Project Designer, she contributes from early design through construction, bringing thoughtful problem-solving, clear communication, and an eagerness to tackle new challenges.
Her portfolio includes several award-winning developments, among them Pan-American Square Apartments in Buffalo, one of New York State’s first PHIUS-certified multifamily affordable housing projects, as well as Tailor Square Apartments and Episcopal SeniorLife Communities Church Home. Across each assignment, she brings together design ambition and real-world needs to create places that enhance everyday life for the people who live and work there.

Aly’s impact also extends well beyond her design responsibilities. Within SWBR, she co-leads our Fun Committee, participates in our Just/JEDI initiatives, and mentors colleagues through our internal mentorship program. Outside the office, she serves on the board of the ACE Mentor Program of Rochester, supports The Strong National Museum of Play’s Play Makers Leadership Council, and remains involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Rochester’s Finest program, where she has served as both a mentor and committee member after previously being named an honoree.
Whether collaborating with a project team, mentoring a colleague, or giving her time to a local organization, Aly brings curiosity, initiative, and generosity to everything she takes on. We’re thrilled to see her celebrated among Rochester’s next generation of construction and real estate leaders.
