SWBR is proud to share that three of our projects have been recognized at the 2026 Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Rochester Awards, held Thursday, May 7.

Pan-American Square Apartments received the Innovation Award, honoring forward-thinking solutions that push the boundaries of design. Located in Buffalo, this 150-unit affordable and supportive housing community transforms a former rail corridor into a high-performing, all-electric development centered on connection and resilience. From navigating complex site constraints to integrating Passive House strategies, the project reflects a thoughtful, community-informed approach to housing that supports stability and dignity for residents.

Foodlink Community Garden & Distribution Expansion earned the Out-of-the-Box Award, recognizing inventive approaches that address pressing challenges in new ways. This multi-site investment strengthens Foodlink’s capacity to grow, process, and distribute food throughout the region — expanding the Community Farm with year-round growing and educational spaces, and modernizing the Mount Read Boulevard distribution facility to increase storage, efficiency, and reach. Together, these improvements directly support Foodlink’s mission to combat food insecurity at both neighborhood and regional scales.

Oak Hill Country Club was honored with the Owner Collaboration Award, embodying exceptional partnership between client and design teams. The $45M transformation reimagines the historic clubhouse to better serve members and major events, balancing operational upgrades with strategic additions like a new ballroom, expanded dining venues, and enhanced connections to the course. Delivered through a carefully phased approach, it maintained Oak Hill’s legacy while positioning it as a year-round destination.
