We’re excited to welcome Scott Cirmo, PE to SWBR as Senior Structural Engineer. In this role, Scott provides structural engineering and project management support for a wide range of project types, collaborating closely with clients and project teams to deliver thoughtful, high-performing design solutions. He brings nearly two decades of experience spanning higher education, government, commercial, residential, and adaptive reuse projects, with expertise in structural systems ranging from single-family homes to complex high-rise buildings.
Known for his collaborative, friendly, and solutions-oriented approach, Scott is committed to creating designs that contribute to the betterment of society and the well-being of the people who use them. His passion for the built environment began at an early age through a fascination with buildings and bridges under construction, coupled with a love of math and science that naturally led him to a career in structural engineering.
Prior to joining SWBR, Scott worked with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger in the Washington, D.C. region. He earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and studied Structural Engineering and Materials at Virginia Tech.
