We’re proud to share that we’ve earned a Just Label 3.0 through the International Living Future Institute (ILFI), continuing our effort to be transparent about how our values show up within our own organization.
Often compared to a nutrition label for organizations, Just provides a public snapshot of workplace practices related to equity, employee well-being, compensation, professional growth, community impact, and more. For our team, that means putting specifics behind the principles we talk about every day.

Our current practices include committing a portion of our annual net profit to charitable giving and other community support and investing in professional development for all team members, regardless of market, department, or discipline. We also engage in regular market benchmarking and analyses designed to mitigate potential gender and racial or ethnic pay disparities.
Those are only a few of the areas examined through Just. The broader process asks organizations to look closely at how policies are written, how decisions are made, and how employees actually experience the workplace.
SWBR first earned a Just Label 2.0 in 2023. Pursuing Just 3.0 gave us the opportunity to evaluate our progress against the program’s updated framework and take another candid look at where we are today. Our goal is not to present a perfect organization, but to better understand what’s working, identify where there is room to grow, and hold ourselves accountable for what comes next.
As designers, planners, engineers, and advisors, we spend our days thinking about how places can better serve people. Just challenges us to bring that same attention to the organization behind the work. We’re grateful to the team members who contributed to this process and helped us take a closer look at our policies and human experience. Earning Just 3.0 marks meaningful progress and gives us a clearer foundation for what we want to improve next.
