Ribbon-Cutting for Lily Brook Independent Senior Living

On July 24, our design team joined Friendly Senior Living, along with state and local officials, at the ribbon‑cutting ceremony for Lily Brook, a new affordable independent senior living community in Pittsford.

Friendly Senior Living acquired the property from the Sisters of Saint Joseph, who continue to reside onsite and care for about 75–80 senior Sisters. The development repurposes previously unused portions of the Motherhouse to create this mission‑driven living community.

The community offers one- and two- bedroom units with full kitchens, in-unit laundry, and ample storage. Amenities include common areas, a fitness center, outdoor patios, worship services, and cultural arts programs. The campus is spacious and quiet, featuring a winding creek, landscaped grounds, and Auburn Trail access. Memory care services are slated to open next year.

“To SWBR, thank you for helping us create a space that is not only functional but reflects dignity and thoughtful living,” Glen Cooper, President & CEO, Friendly Senior Living.

SWBR provided architecture, interior design, civil and structural engineering, and landscape architecture design services for the project.
