Coxsackie, NY, located along the Hudson River with a beautiful view of the waterfront, is experiencing a downtown revitalization after decades of neglect. Flach Development purchased industrial buildings on South River Street in 2019, planning to transform them into an entertainment and hospitality venue. One building was demolished due to structural issues and was replaced by the James Newbury Hotel, named after the original occupant. The unique five-story boutique hotel and renovated historic iron foundry Wire Event Center blends historic and contemporary designs, using brick and artifacts from the site.
Salvaged materials from the demolished building were repurposed in the lounge area.
