Congratulations to Senior Project Architect Dan Glading, AIA, Principal Allison Shannon, AIA, and Structural Engineering Manager Matthew Weber, PE on being elected to our Board of Directors for a three-year term. Board members’ responsibilities include the implementation of corporate procedures and controls and formulation of overall business plans, operations, market objectives and strategies.
Dan Glading is an expert in the design of affordable, supportive, and multi-family housing communities. He is dedicated to creating dignified homes for people of all incomes and needs that are beautiful, functional, and uplifting. His design portfolio includes several award-winning affordable and supportive housing communities in Rochester and across New York State for clients including DePaul and Rochester Management. Dan earned a Master of Architecture from the New School of Architecture & Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Washington.
Since joining SWBR in 2005, Allison Shannon, recently promoted to Principal, has dedicated her career to designing K-12 education facilities. She understands the challenges school districts face and is known for creative solutions and leading some of the firm’s largest, most complex projects. Her clients include Greece Central School District, Rochester City School District, Susan B. Anthony Museum & House, and Victor Central School District. She received her Bachelor of Architecture and Building Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Matthew Weber, who has been with SWBR since 2009, oversees all aspects of structural engineering for SWBR projects including design, client relationships, team development and management, and coordination with other disciplines and consultants. He has over 20 years of experience providing structural analysis and innovative design solutions for educational, municipal, housing, and industrial projects. He graduated from Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
