After more than 40 years of dedicated service, Nick Christopher is retiring on December 31, 2025, marking the conclusion of an extraordinary career at SWBR.
Throughout his tenure, Nick made a lasting impact on the firm through his deep technical expertise, unwavering attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. Over four decades, he contributed to hundreds of projects across nearly every market sector, serving as a specifications writer, project manager, and technical coordinator. His work helped ensure clarity, constructability, and long-term performance across SWBR’s portfolio.
Nick’s experience spanned higher education, municipal facilities, housing, and K–12 schools. His many notable projects include the Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester, the Music Performance Theater at Rochester Institute of Technology, Bailey Hall at SUNY Geneseo, multiple phases at the Canandaigua Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Masten Park for the City of Buffalo Parks Department, and long-term capital improvement work for the Victor Central School District.
As SWBR’s primary specifications writer, Nick authored the majority of the firm’s specifications, supporting project teams firmwide and helping establish the high standards of quality and technical rigor that define SWBR’s work today. He is widely respected for his technical knowledge and generosity in sharing his expertise while mentoring colleagues.
Nick’s contributions have left a lasting mark on SWBR – on its projects, its people, and its culture of excellence.
