Ribbon Cutting for The Neisner at East End

On Monday, September 29, our design team joined Riedman and local officials to celebrate the completion of The Neisner at East End, a new luxury apartment community in downtown Rochester.

The adaptive reuse project transformed the historic Neisner Department Store office building into modern residential living. The 53,500 SF building includes a mix of 56 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom market rate apartments. Amenities include a resident lounge, co-working and study areas, a fitness center, in-unit laundry, and a dog spa.

The apartment community also includes a resident-only pocket park, providing a contemporary urban green space for relaxation and connection. Screened from the street by privacy fencing and perforated steel panels, the plaza offers seclusion while maintaining connections to city life.

With generous seating, a gas grill island, fire table, and dog area, the pocket park enhances daily living.

SWBR provided architectural, landscape architecture, and structural engineering design services for the project.
