Ground Breaking for McQuaid Jesuit’s New STEM Center

On October 28 SWBR, along with DiMarco Constructors, broke ground on the new $16 million STEM facility at McQuaid Jesuit High School. The state-of-the-art science and technology center will feature computer labs, a student life area, campus ministry rooms and comfortable spaces for student collaboration. The overarching goal of the project is to provide a safe and nurturing physical environment that inspires/motivates the young men of McQuaid to be fully engaged in their lives.

The two-story project is largely funded by the Wegman family and will be named to honor their donation. “We really are excited to be a part of something that is a state of the art facility to create a very exciting learning environment in the field of science and technology,” said Wegmans President Colleen Wegman.

The facility is expected to be finished in January 2018, with use beginning in the fall of 2017.
