Kristin M. PurdyAIA, CSI, LEED AP BD+C

Project Architect

Kristin’s passion for architecture started in third grade when she would draw front elevations for her two younger brothers. “They ‘loved’ when I would force them to sit down next to me and tell me what their dream house would look like.” Starting at SWBR as an intern during college, Kristin joined the firm full time in 2007. She is a talented designer whose clients trust her to be a responsive, detailed, and organized team player. Her goal for every project is to make sure the client’s needs and wants are delivered – that their problem is solved. As a LEED Administrator, she is also responsible for the USGBC LEED Certification process, particularly in higher education. Kristin’s passion to combine practical design with creativity has resulted in successful designs and collaborations at Nazareth College, Cornell University, Colgate University, and Monroe Community College.

Kristin’s work ethic and dedication extend beyond SWBR, and she is an active volunteer in the community.  She is the AIA Rochester Chapter’s Communications Chair, CSI Rochester Chapter’s Secretary, and a board member of the Architectural Foundation of Greater Rochester.  Kristin has previously donated her time to the Boy Scout Explorer Program, the ACE Mentor Program, and Lollypop Farm.
