As a forward thinking planner, designer and manager Joe Kosiorek has spent his career developing a unique understanding of the modern K12 learning culture. “K12 education means stepping outside the perceived comfort of the traditional learning environment by engaging students and educators to more holistically understand what allows the learning process to happen more naturally and passively.”
In his current role as Business Development and Senior Project Manager, he is at the forefront of the K12 educational design renaissance, guiding districts that have an interest in creating environments that foster the potential of students’ learning styles, progressive educators’ teaching methods and prepare them for success. His clients trust in his guidance throughout the entire project, from building condition surveys, to planning, garnering community involvement and support, maximizing state funding, and finally, capital improvement projects.
While finishing his graduate work, Joe played Men’s League Rugby and was even selected to the Upstate NY All Star Team two years in a row. However, his rugby career was short lived, only lasting three years, once it became apparent that a broken arm and fingers (happening on separate occasions) created a conflict of interest for a young CAD drafter and sketch designer! Joe lives in Fairport, NY with his wife and two young daughters.
