David joined SWBR in 1979 and has served as a dedicated project manager and Principal, firm President for twenty years, and Chief Marketing Officer.
In his role as a Principal of the firm, his focus and passion center on business development and maintaining existing excellent client relationships. He firmly believes that caring about people and their needs come first. He is known for his high energy, excellent communication skills, and as a trusted partner, dedicated to accomplishing client goals. He is an enthusiastic mentor and teacher; whether it’s for his project team or as a community leader and volunteer. His commitment to positively impacting lives extends beyond his impressive design portfolio. He is an active member of the community, supporting causes ranging from youth sports programs and scholarships to sustainability initiatives. In 2020, David was awarded the prestigious Frederic Schwartz Community Development Award by The New York State American Institute of Architects which recognizes projects and individuals who have had a significant and positive impact to the built environment in New York State. Currently he serves in the community on the MCC Foundation Board, RDDC Board, Rochester Chamber of Commerce Board, NAIOP, DBIA, and FCA boards.
Beyond his work at the firm Dave spends time with ongoing renovations on their Greek revival home in Mendon, coaching soccer, hunting, skiing, enjoying lots of time with his large family, and long walks with his wife.
