Wayfinding Master Plan

Updated wayfinding improves navigation and reinforces university identity.

Located in scenic Central New York, SUNY Morrisville’s wayfinding master plan was developed to create a new wayfinding system to reinforce the College’s identity and encourage its consistent use to create a greater sense of place while making it easier for visitors to find their way. The project included a uniform nomenclature for campus, streets, and buildings, upgraded campus maps, and better navigation to visitor parking. The Master Plan also created a hierarchy of signage elements for campus approach, arrival, circulation, parking, and buildings.

Directional Signage

Directs visitors to campus parking areas and key destinations, creating a clear and intuitive arrival experience.

Campus Identity

The back of each directional sign is used as decorative elements to reinforce the SUNY Morrisville brand while providing visual consistency throughout campus.

Building Identification

A cohesive building sign system improves destination recognition while maintaining a unified campus aesthetic.
