Lobby Renovation

The Scholar Hotel Group owns several hotels, all located near universities. In 2018, the group purchased the Genesee Grand Hotel, located in the heart of Syracuse’s historic University Hill neighborhood, and brought in SWBR in to modernize the lobby, business center, lounge, market café, restaurant and bar.

The renovated lobby features classic modern décor which is bright and airy with a popular accent highlighting the skylights. The lobby includes a new retail area and coffee bar. The lounge is open and contemporary offering additional seating and a meeting area. Large TV’s, a fireplace, and tables with outlets and USB ports are amenities for visitors to enjoy. The Salt Restaurant & Bar is open to the lobby and includes a combination of seating types. All common areas have been modernized to accommodate business meetings or social events.

The newly named Scholar Hotel Syracuse opened in early 2020. SWBR provided architectural, interior design, and FF&E services.
