SUNY Alfred Townhouses

The Alfred State College townhouses, currently in construction, provide students with a unique option for affordable housing which hasn't been offered before. The 150-bed townhouse complex creates a "Main Street" along the campus road. The Townhouse project is LEED Certifiable through the U.S. Green Building Council. The site layout is a terracing concept that creates vistas from within all townhouse units. The campus amenities and support spaces are situated in a community building centrally located within the site. The community building also serves as a corporate venue for summer business retreats, alumni functions, and campus/faculty events. The design style maintains the traditional architecture of the village, while focusing on the technological aspect of the campus.
